From May 9 to 13, 2011 the 13th edition of the main tradeshow of the plastics industry in South America took place. The event attracted 65000 visitors and reflected the great momentum of the Brazilian economy with the resumption of investment throughout the plastics production chain.

The 100 m² Stäubli booth has been frequented by a large number of visitors – mostly from Brazil and many other countries such as Argentina, Germany, Portugal, Italy and France.

Stäubli was present with its Connectors and Robotics divisions. A comprehensive line of products for the plastic industry has been on display, from mold pre-heating to the final painting of the product, covering the whole production cycle of plastic injection.

Furthermore, the booth featured quick couplings and multi couplings for many different energies used in mold connecting: water and oil for temperature control, compressed air, hydraulic oil, electric power and signal, as well as our mold clamping systems  - all available for demonstrations.

The Robotics division showed two robots cells in operation, one of which represented an example of loading and unloading of injection and subsequent handling of parts and the other cell showed painting applications.
